The Geckofolk of Emberclimb
In the high cliffs of Emberclimb, a hidden settlement of Geckofolk thrives in the shadows of the canyons. Known for their nimble bodies and unmatched agility, the Geckofolk are small, standing no higher than a halfling, with vibrant scales that reflect the hues of their rocky environment—greens, yellows, oranges, and even deep purples, depending on the region and their clan. Their eyes are large and reflective, giving them excellent night vision, while their sticky-padded fingers allow them to scale even the sheerest cliff walls. These agile hunters sustain themselves on a diet of insects, scorpions, and the occasional giant beetle.
Their bond with the natural world makes them exceptional climbers and foragers, able to navigate terrain that most would consider impassable. Despite their small size, they are brave-hearted and dedicated to protecting their kin and the ancient cliffs they call home. Ezekiss,Tylquin and Zhazik are heroes among their kind but they are not alone. The Geckofolk have many classes suited to their lifestyle, from nimble monks who scale the cliffs with unparalleled speed to fighters who hone their skills in close-quarters combat, using their dexterity to outmaneuver their enemies.
Most Geckofolk align with neutral good, protecting their homes and clans while avoiding unnecessary conflict with outsiders. However, they are not naive, and they defend their homeland with fierceness if threatened.
Their village, hidden deep within the Emberclimb canyons, is a sanctuary of peace and quiet. But now, rumors swirl of a dark force rising in the north, threatening to bring ruin to their tranquil way of life. Ezekiss, Tylquin, and Zhazik have been chosen by the elders to venture out and discover the truth behind these rumors, seeking allies to help preserve the Geckofolk’s ancient home before it is lost to the sands of time.
